TASTE THE FUTURE OF SOY

ADM’s NutriSoy® Organic Whole Soybean Powder is a versatile, great tasting and adaptable ingredient, It contains all the goodness of organic whole soybeans and is ideally suited to many non-dairy food applications.

The unique production process developed by ADM ensures that the key components of de-hulled soybeans (proteins, okara, isoflavones, phytosterols, pre-biotic sugars and oils) are retained in their naturally-occurring forms. The highly nutritious qualities of NutriSoy Organic Whole Soybean Powder make it suitable for applications designed to meet both the UK JHCI and the US FDA cholesterol reduction claims for soy protein1.

Soy-based, non-dairy products are renowned for their typical ‘beany’ taste which some consumers find unappealing. The microfine particle size, smooth, rich mouthfeel and bland, stable flavour of NutriSoy Organic Whole Soybean Powder are, however, unequalled in full fat soya products. Moreover, the retention of the okara natural fibre, without any adverse effect on mouthfeel or stability, provides additional health benefits not found in other dairy analogue products. This makes it ideal for a range of healthful applications including soya beverages, drinking yoghurt, sour cream and cream cheese analogues.

NutriSoy Organic Whole Soybean Powder adapts easily to existing processing conditions using normal dairy equipment, so enabling manufacturers to enter the growing market for healthy, organic soya products with little or no capital investment.

NutriSoy® is a registered Trade Mark of Archer Daniels Midland Company.

  1. The US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) in 1999 and the UK Joint Health Claims Initiative (or JHCI, a joint venture between consumer bodies, enforcement authorities, and industry trade associations) approved a generic health claim for soy in 2002. Both health claims have the wording “25g of soy(a) protein per day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.” Products carrying the claim must contain a minimum of 6.25g soy protein per serving in the US and 5g in the UK
